Back in April, we opened our doors to a truly special styled shoot – one that captured the joy, elegance, and intimacy of the bridal morning in all its beauty. Set against the soft springtime backdrop of our gorgeous gardens in bloom, and with golden light pouring through the windows of our accommodation, this shoot brought together an incredible group of female-led wedding creatives to craft a love letter to bridal preparations.
We were thrilled to see this styled shoot featured in the latest issue of WED Magazine. As described in the editorial feature:
“Sitting in the heart of a valley where rolling meadows meet pockets of mature trees, The Great Barn offers breathtaking natural beauty and away-from-it-all romance within eight miles of Exeter. Captured amidst the soft pink spring blossoms of the venue’s idyllic gardens and luxe on-site accommodation, this styled shoot is a celebration of the joy, glamour and sisterhood of the bridal preparations.”
The vibe was relaxed yet ultra-chic: a super glam bridal brunch where prosecco clinked, makeup brushes worked their magic, and floral cupcakes (by the brilliantly talented Fancy Pants) were almost too beautiful to eat. Stunning bridal party gowns from Creative Stitches by Heidi stole the spotlight before our gorgeous models Helen, Megan, Millie and Molly changed into dresses provided by The Bridal Corner– flowing silks, modern silhouettes, and intricate details perfectly suited to the contemporary bride, perfectly paired with spectacular flowers from Hollyhocks Florist.
Hair was styled effortlessly yet elegantly by Cindy Beddard and Codie Symons, while glowing, editorial-inspired makeup looks were crafted by Emma Roberts and Hannah May. The bridal party – models Helen, Megan, Millie, and Molly – exuded joyful sisterhood, Bringing the brunch to life was Sorella Barista, serving artisan coffees and grazing boxes from their charming mobile cart – the perfect finishing touch to a morning that felt as good as it looked.
Captured through the lenses of Louise Eleanor and Your Social Content Gem every frame celebrated the glamour of the moment – the fun, the anticipation, the quiet excitement – and above all, the power of women supporting women on one of life’s most memorable days.
We’re so proud to have hosted this stunning shoot and so grateful to the talented suppliers who brought it to life with care, creativity and shared vision. It reminds us that the morning of a wedding isn’t just a lead-up – it’s a moment all of its own, filled with magic.
