One of the loveliest things about working with local suppliers is just how local ‘local’ can be!
Deer Leap Flowers is run by sisters Sophie and Cami from their flower farm, quite literally a stone’s throw from @thegreatbarndevon, where they grow beautiful, seasonal flowers and create arrangements full of colour, movement and character.
We just love that our couples can have flowers on their wedding day that were grown only a few fields away, on the very landscape that provides the backdrop to their celebration.

And then there’s Sunday.
After all the excitement of the wedding day, there’s something so lovely about waking up with nowhere in particular to be. Here at The Great Barn, the estate remains entirely yours for the whole of Sunday, so there’s no need to pack up and say goodbye quite yet.
Take your time over breakfast, whether that’s a leisurely self-catered affair in your cottage kitchen or a delicious brunch prepared by our team of in-house chefs in the West Barn. Or enjoy a ramble up the footpatch through our land and woodland to The Nobody Inn in our neighbouring village of Doddiscombsleigh, for a rather epic Sunday lunch. In the warmer months, there might be a swim in the outdoor pool, a barbecue in the garden or a few more hours spent together, sharing stories from the day before.
And when the time finally comes to leave, you can do so having had the chance to enjoy every last bit of it.

One of the loveliest things about a 3-day wedding is that the celebrations begin long before you walk down the aisle.
From Friday, the whole estate is entirely yours. Alongside plenty of time for a relaxed rehearsal - with as many run-throughs and questions as you need until you feel completely at ease! - there’s ample opportunity to bring your decor dreams to life across our venue.
Whether the rest of the day is spent putting the finishing touches to the venue, catching up with friends over a glass of something lovely or simply enjoying the idyllic peace of the Teign Valley, Friday gives everyone time to arrive and settle in.
Come Friday evening, you can join us in the West Barn for supper, prepared and served by our lovely team, or make the most of the true home-from-home kitchens, gardens and barbecue and cook for yourselves. Some guests choose to book a table at The Manor Inn, our nearest pub - just 15 minutes’ walk away - and one that does excellent food. It really all is entirely up to you.

Set within 120 acres of Devon countryside, @thegreatbarndevon has evolved over centuries, with beautifully renovated stone cottages, elegant walled gardens and quiet corners sitting alongside the places where life and celebrations unfold.
We love that the estate feels both grand and wonderfully intimate; a place with room for everyone to come together, yet plenty of little corners to call your own.
And sometimes, it’s only when you look at it from a different angle that you appreciate quite how much there is here.
We love these gorgeous aerial shots, captured by the talented @louiseeleanorphotography
